Progress and Constraints of VL Case Detection and Management within National Programmes (Phase V) (2011-2012)
Activities Undetaken
Proposal development; co-ordination with Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) Nepal and WHO/TDR, Switzerland, Vector Borne Disease Control and Research Center (VBDRTC), Hetauda; and District Public/Health Offices of Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) endemic districts; implement research, training of health workers of the VL endemic districts on M&E toolkit; data collection, entry and analysis; prepare periodic progress and final reports; and dissemination of the findings. The overall objective of this study is to strengthen ongoing Kala-azar Elimination Program (KAEP) in the region.
