Health care system and medical science as a whole is a dynamic and ever changing sector full of new facts and findings. In order to catch up with newer technology and service protocols, research and innovation have become an inevitable part of the medical science. Nevertheless Nepal is just in the phase of crawling in the area of health research activity. Amidst the aforementioned reality, necessity of this organization was conceptualized with a motive to enhance and lay professional support in the area of public health research. A group of energetic yet prominent and proficient professionals with handsome experience in public health research and academic has created this platform and helped nurture the institute up to this stage with sufficient capability to accept the professional responsibility.The Public Health and Infectious Disease Research Center (PHIDReC) is registered under Non-governmental Organization Registration Act 2034 in 2065 with District Administration Office, Kathmandu and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council. It has its own PAN number.
