Evaluation of the feasibility and usefulness of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) toolkit for VL vector control in national programmes (Phase IV) (2009-2010)
Activities Undetaken
Proposal development; co-ordination with Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) Nepal and WHO/TDR, Switzerland, Vector Borne Disease Control and Research Center (VBDRTC), Hetauda; and District Public/Health Offices of Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) endemic districts; research implementation, train health workers training from VL endemic districts on active case detection of VL; data collection, entry and analysis; prepare periodic progress and final reports; and dissemination of the findings. The overall objective of this study is to strengthen ongoing Kala-azar Elimination Program (KAEP) in the region.
